COMMUNITY AFFAIRS POLICY
It is the Policy of Awabian Energy to take necessary steps to maintain a harmonious relationship with any Community that we operate in order to achieve timely delivery of projects in a conducive atmosphere.
Accordingly, Awabian Energy shall ensure, prior to staff/equipment deployment, that the following are put in place:
- Provision/Procurement of workable Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Freedom to Operate (FTO) with our host communities.
- Engage in good Community relations practices and strategy.
- Provision of infrastructures to enhance effective access control measures.
- Make available good contingency plans to facilitate the evacuation of staff and none essential personnel during period of crisis / community unrest.
- Withdrawing from, or reducing operations during high-risk periods.

Awabian Energy has been pursuing the domestication of engineering capabilities in Nigerian Oil and Gas industry since its inception as well as promoting the drive to improve Nigerian Content and Indigenous participation in the Nigerian Oil and Gas industry.
